We have been asked how COVID-19 may impact Down Country’s 10th Rhinestones & Rodeo Art Auction & Dance. Per the request of Down Country’s I Learn recipients, Rhinestones & Rodeo WILL take place as planned. We plan to be IN PERSON & VIRTUAL. Those who cannot attend in person will be able to attend virtually. Our plan is to be at the Ambiance, as usual, unless it is not allowed by the state of Illinois. If this happens our back up location is Rockin A Arena in Palmyra, MO. Attendee’s will be notified of any change in venue on Thursday, January 7, 2021.

By attending Rhinestones & Rodeo you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. One of the many decisions families of individuals who learn and live life outside the box are faced with every day is what risks to assume for their right to independence and dignity, this is their choice and their call and we intend to honor that wish.

In the words of Anna Quindlen, “the greatest gift God gives us is a realization of our own mortality”, those of us who live and learn differently are often faced with that mortality every day, COVID-19 has not brought a new awareness of this to our world, simply the rest of the world. If you feel comfortable to join us in person, please help us celebrate and enjoy our art auction and dance and if you cannot be with us in person, we hope you are able to join us virtually!

On behalf of #everychild, God Bless & Thank you!
